The paging buttons on PSDTUTS +, one of my favorite website about creative resources and tutorials for Photoshop, it’s perfectly coordinated with all the other interface elements.

The voting system implemented in Behance  is simply a thumb up.
If you click on it in the description page, it gives a textual feedback (thank you!) , while in other sections (e.g home page, category listings) indicates also the total score.

Interesting these buttons / logo: they make a uniform list of a bunch of different graphic elements. 
The effect on mouse over (e.g. Videoegg.com) is also light and pleasant.

Sometimes (but not always) an illustration allows us to express an idea with more clarity and intuitiveness of a written text: as in this case the fish orange represents the customer profile, in perfect consistency with the global marine environment.

A very delicate balloon, perfectly consistent with the style of this site dedicated to mothers and motherhood.

The most minimal way to represent a search form.

One of the most comprehensive web sites about grids, with a rich library of templates that can be downloaded freely. 
Interesting also the button “Show Grid” in the top right corner to show / hide the grid.

For those who love frameworks here you are an excellent set of templates, downloadable for free, to design and build 960px wide grids.

I like the way the breadcrumbs binds to the title of the search form, entering seamlessy into the layout.

Icons on web sites often tend to get standardized (a heart, a star, the magic wand …): if this uniformity promotes understanding, on the other hand mortifies the originality of the site and conveys a nagging feeling of “pre-packed thing”.

Commands acting on Babelgum showcase are many but well distributed. There are two intersting solutions: the baloon with information and additional options (mouse over on a single thumb) and the submenu expanding from above, when you activate functions such as sharing.
